In the effort of supporting the design industry and to produce abundance generation of designer, Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia (MRM) has taken its part in cooperating with government body, tertiary body, agency, Industrial Company and also local university by organizing design competition.

The theme of the competition comprises multiplicity concepts and style of the current design trend. "Malaysia Concept Car Competition" (MRM, PROTON & FORD) and "Malaysia Shoe Design" (MRM & LA PRIMAVERA SDN BHD) were examples of many competitions that have been organized by MRM.
